Michel’s Patisserie Rainbow Cake
Now it’s like many people in Jakarta is suffered with Rainbow Cake and Red Velvet Cake syndrome. Well I never have any willingness to try both of them as the hippest cake in the town, and finally after quite a time, then it’s lucky for the Rainbow Cake to be experienced by me =p
Rainbow Cake is basically a several layer of sponge cakes which each of them have different colour following the colours of the rainbow. The sponges are stacked so that they become a one whole of cakes consisting different and eye-catching colour, and finally topped with cream cheese frosting or whipped cream, or butter cream.
My first experience with the rainbow cake is because one day at Central Park Mall, West Jakarta, I was looking for place to just sit and relax and after passed the Michel’s Patisserie, the place looks good and not to crowded. Then, well, why not to try it for the first time.
So here we go, the affordable Rainbow Cake by Michel’s Patisserie. Speaking of eye-catching, yeah it is, but somehow you might think how they got the eye-catching colour, well yeah most of the cake shop may use artificial colour, but some also claimed to use the natural one for the colouring process. This chance, I wasn’t impressed at all by the cake, the sponge was not too soft, and also not too moist. The taste is just standard, but considering the price which only Rp.25.000, well, let’s just say ok.
