Bumbu Tjobek Masakan Nusantara
Have you ever hear Bumbu Tjobek restaurant ? Well, it might be quite new for some of us, but actually Bumbu Tjobek restaurant is part of Blue Sky Hotel & Restaurant Management Group, which already famous in Kalimantan Island (Borneo) and have more than 20 years of experience in this business. One of their restaurant and also famous in Jakarta is Ita Suki.
Located in Podomoro City area, Bumbu Tjobek is serving favourite Indonesian dishes from many area in Indonesia, such as Betawi fried chicken, Oxtail soup, Soto Banjar, Nasi bakar, and many more. This restaurant has 2 floors, and the area on the first floor is not really big.
That day I tried some from their menu such as Ayam goreng kremes (Fried chicken with crunchy), Tumis kangkung terasi (sauteed morning glory), Tahu goreng crispy (Crispy deep fried tofu). So here we go!
The fried chicken was quite nice, crispy, with crunches on top of it and a little of sambal under the chicken, the sambal was good, but it was too little, and if you ask for more sambal, they will charge you by the way. The sauteed morning glory was quite good, while their Crispy deep fried tofu was actually really potential. One portion of it will consists of 4 deep fried tofu, which were quite big, and tastes good. My only comment is that time, the cooking process was not perfect, as I can feel that some of the batter inside.
So that was my experience in Bumbu Tjobek restaurant, how about yours? I heard that they have a delicious oxtail soup, too bad I was too full to try their oxtail soup. Make sure you had one when you dine there!
